Summer Construction Notice


MU Union Square: Union Square is Phase I of the Memorial Union Expansion and Renovation project. It will include four different food service venues, additional seating and program space.

Palm Walk, "North Tunnel Reconstruction/Repair Project": The project includes the removal/ replacement of the tunnel roof slab (which also serves as the walkway surface) and isolated tunnel wall repairs along Palm Walk tunnel between the south end of the Life Sciences Building and the B-Wing of the Bateman Physical Science Center.

Arizona Bio Institute: This 170,000 square foot, $69 million project is taking over parking lot 44, located at the southeast corner of McAllister and Terrace roads, and will not be completed until fall 2004.

Lattie Coor Building: This classroom building has been under construction since March 2002. The project took over the visitor eight parking lot, and all visitors must now park in the Tempe Center, located at the southeast corner of Mill Avenue and University Drive.

Gammage Rigging project: This $1.6 million project will be done by Aug. 1. All rigging, the stage fire curtain and all the catwalks will be replaced. Because of this, all shows stop June 9.
