Police Beat: Taking a punch in the ear at Coffee Plantation


Tempe police reported the following incidents Wednesday:

A 48-year-old transient man was arrested near the intersection of 36th Street and University Drive on charges of motor vehicle theft.

A 22-year-old Tempe man was arrested near the intersection of Terrace Road and Apache Boulevard on charges of failure to obey an officer. The man reportedly failed to stop at the officer's request that he ride his bicycle on the right side of the road and install a bicycle headlight.

A 32-year-old transient man was arrested near the 3200 block of South Rural Road on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia after officers reportedly found him to be in possession of a glass crack pipe.

A 23-year-old Phoenix man was arrested near the 600 block of South Mill Avenue on charges of assault after he reportedly punched the victim in the ear at Coffee Plantation.

A 40-year-old Tempe woman was arrested near the 1900 block of East Don Carlos Drive on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia after officers reportedly found her to be in possession of a glass crack pipe.
