No experience necessary
"This is in response to the Talk Back 'No experience with the draft' that was in the Feb. 3 paper. I just wanted to say that it's stupid to say you can't fight for something if you haven't experienced it. I mean, I haven't been raped, and none of the people that are close to me have been raped, but I still try and prevent rape and take steps to avoid it. That's the exact same thing that Craig Stritar, I think is his name, is trying to do with the draft. He's just trying to take steps to prevent it. All right."
Take that privilege and ...
"Hey, this is for the guy who was talking about 'No experience with the draft.' Yeah, if it's such a (expletive) privilege to live in this country, if there was a draft, I'll leave this country. Fine. Bye."
God says Georgia is stupid
Editor's note: Call Talk Back at (480) 965-6881 and leave us a piece of your mind. We'll print it anonymously. That means you don't have to call back just to spell your name and reiterate your feelings about Georgia. Do not make assumptions about the gender of the callers -- the person who called in 'No experience with the draft' was a woman, not a guy. And please refrain from using expletives. We hate using parentheses (unless its to offset a funny side comment).
"Hey, what's up State Press? I got two things to say. One: if you have an opinion section, you should have the cajones to leave your name with your opinion. And two: I read your article on how Georgia doesn't believe in evolution. Well they're stupid. God is sitting up in heaven saying, 'You know what? I invented evolution. Georgia, you're stupid.'"
