Police Beat: Scandal on Cedar Street


Tempe police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

An 18-year-old Tempe woman was arrested on charges of assault and domestic violence near the 6800 block of South Roosevelt Street after she allegedly struck the victim with open and closed fists, causing a bloody nose and marks on his shoulder.

A 35-year-old transient woman was arrested on a charge of soliciting prostitution near the intersection of Cedar Street and Siesta Lane. She allegedly offered an undercover officer oral sex in exchange for $30.

A 20-year-old Tempe man was arrested on a charge of theft of services near the 400 block of South Mill Avenue. He allegedly consunsumed $36.10 worth of food and drink at Gordon Biersch Brewing Company and did not have any money to pay for it.

ASU police reported the following incident Tuesday:

A blue Dodge Neon that was reported stolen Feb. 24 was found in Lot 46.

Two chairs and a couch were thrown out of a window of Manzanita Hall. There are no suspects and damage is estimated at $1,540.
