It was announced Tuesday by ESPN that current "The Bachelor" heartthrob/ quarterback Jesse Palmer might be cut from the New York Giants after four lackluster seasons, including eight straight losses as starter at the end of 2003.
Palmer was "drafted" by ABC to be their fifth star looking for love while under the glare of camera lights -- he has said he is done "playing the field" when it comes to women -- and is ready to settle down.
Cheesy sports metaphors aside, even if Palmer does find a wife, though no other Bachelor has been successful keeping their end-of-the-season pick, one of the main reasons he was selected for the show, and his livelihood, may be gone.
This just might be bad luck for Palmer, or ABC has teamed up with Giants coaches to increase the drama of the show. Either way, it's good TV!
