Police Beat: Dare to be naked


Tempe police reported the following incidents Thursday:

A 33-year-old Chandler man was arrested Thursday morning after police allegedly observed him walking west on Fifth Street naked. Police reported that two college-aged women discovered the naked man and ran in the opposite direction. Reports said the suspect was under the influence of alcohol and said that he was just having a good time on a dare.

A 41-year-old Tempe woman was arrested on charges of domestic violence and aggravated assault Wednesday morning after police alleged that she shut a glass door causing her roommate's hand to break the glass pane. The victim sustained several cuts and a possible torn tendon in her arm.

A 22-year-old Tempe man was arrested at the Library Bar and Grill Thursday morning. The suspect was charged with assault for allegedly spitting on a bouncer after being thrown out of the bar.

ASU police reported the following incidents Thursday:

A Hyundai Sonata's rear-window was shattered in Parking Lot 59 sometime after Sunday evening. Police estimate the total damage to be $100.

A Schwinn mountain bike was stolen from a bike rack on the north side of the Best Hall B-wing Tuesday evening. The total loss is estimated at $120.
