ASU Police reported the following incident Wednesday:
A 19-year-old student was arrested near Manzanita Hall Tuesday morning. The suspect allegedly asked a friend to hold his plastic red cup of Coors Light within earshot of the arresting officer. The suspect was charged with underage possession of alcohol.
Tempe Police reported the following incidents Wednesday:
A 33-year-old Tempe man was arrested Tuesday and charged with assault and criminal damage after he allegedly struck his wife five or more times in the face during an argument. The suspect then broke a telephone after his wife attempted to dial 911, reports said.
A 48-year-old Tempe man was arrested Monday morning after he allegedly struck a Tempe in Motion bus driver in the throat. Police said the suspect was under the influence of alcohol at the time and took two swings before landing the blow.
A 21-year-old ASU student was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with possession of an open container in a vehicle. The suspect was a passenger in a car stopped near the 900 block of E. Broadway Road. Police reportedly found an alcoholic beverage in the passenger glove box. The driver of the car was charged with DUI.
A 41-year-old Tempe man was arrested after an investigation revealed the suspect allegedly had possession of a usable quantity of crack cocaine and marijuana.
