Devil Dish: Unit next to go?

When the Diamondbacks traded Curt Schilling and got basically nothing in return, fans knew the season was going to be a long one.

Now, after a horrific year of decisions both on and off the field, the Diamondbacks cannot make the same mistake with Randy Johnson.

The team must do whatever it takes to keep No. 51.

Who could blame the Big Unit for bolting to the Yankees, Angels, or Cardinals? He'll be able to win on any one of those teams, and he'll get the run support that cost him the Cy Young award this season.

If Johnson finishes his career in the Valley, he will put a more permanent seal on his legendary status as the greatest athlete in the history of professional sports in Arizona.

If it was hard watching Schilling lead the Red Sox, how's it going to feel seeing R.J. in pinstripes next season?
