ASU East: Science fair to show student work

ASU's American Indian Studies Program is pairing up with Arizona businesses to help showcase the work of students in the Southwest.

On Friday, students in grades 5 through 12 will participate in the third annual Arizona American Indian Science and Engineering Fair.

The event is a result of the efforts of Phillip Huebner, director of the American Indian Programs at ASU East.

Exhibits will be on display Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. A select number of projects will be invited to attend the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in May.

"I have never seen anything impact an individual student as much as the development of a research project, presenting it at a fair and being recognized for his/her efforts," Huebner said.
