Two State Press photographers, Sarah Regnier and David Lukens spent the weekend photographing the activity surrounding the start of the Minuteman Project, headquartered in Tombstone. The Minuteman Project is a volunteer organization expected to have more than 1,000 members along the Arizona-Mexico border over the next month to aid federal border agents by reporting illegal crossings into the United States. From gun-bearing Texans, ACLU legal observers, border patrol agents, to migrants actually making it over the fence, their experiences are expressed through the following essay.
