After seeing "The Transporter 2," I realized how unbelievable action films are starting to get.
Director Louis Leterrier, who made the "The Transporter," directed the sequel, and Jason Statham also came back to kick as much butt in this one as he did in the first. Of course there are new bad guys in this sequel, but nothing the transporter can't handle.
I thought the story was a little rough, but I enjoyed myself nonetheless.
Movies nowadays are getting more and more unrealistic and seem just to focus on entertainment, and this is no exception. I went into the film expecting to see a lot of the same aspects from the first film, and I wasn't disappointed.
Frank Martin (Jason Statham) is moving in a different direction with his life. He still lives by his own rules, but now, instead of transporting drugs, bank robbers and whatnot, he is responsible for transporting Jack (Hunter Clary), the son of a well-known politician, to school.
After Jack is kidnapped and held for ransom, Frank makes it his personal business to track down the kid and get him back. Easier said than done, of course. Along the way, Frank runs into all types of trouble, from the usual 10-on-one situation to amazing aerial movements with a car that never seems to get scratched.
I think people that liked the first "Transporter" will enjoy this movie.
There were intense car chases and even more intense fight scenes, and for that, I give "The Transporter 2" three-and-a-half pitchforks out of five.
