ASU police reported the following incident Monday:
An 18-year-old male ASU student was arrested Sunday morning at Manzanita Hall and charged with underage consumption of alcohol.
The suspect was allegedly yelling in the residence hall lobby when police contacted him.
The suspect reportedly asked to take a Breathalyzer test to prove he had not been drinking.
The test indicated the suspect had a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.056, police said.
After the suspect was taken to the police station for refusing to sign a citation, he again requested to take a breath test, police reported.
This time the test showed the suspect to have a blood-alcohol level of 0.043 percent, police said.
After the suspect was released from police custody, he reportedly asked police to drive him to a hospital to have an alcohol and drug test performed.
An officer dropped the suspect off at an emergency room as requested, police said.
Tempe police reported the following incidents Monday:
A 38-year-old Tempe man was arrested Saturday night at Rural and Baseline roads and charged with public consumption of alcohol.
Police reportedly observed the suspect drink from a 40-ounce can of Mickey's Malt Liquor while riding a bicycle down the street.
A 46-year-old transient man was arrested Sunday night at Arizona Mills mall, 5000 S. Arizona Mills Circle, and charged with shoplifting.
The suspect allegedly stole a pair of underwear from the JCPenney clothing store.
The stolen goods were valued at $2.49, police said.
A 42-year-old transient man was arrested Saturday morning in a neighborhood near Broadway Road and Loop 101 and charged with failure to comply with an officer and possession of burglary tools.
An officer tried to stop the suspect for riding a bicycle without a lamp, when the suspect quickly rode off, police said.
The suspect reportedly fell off his bicycle and began to run from police.
When police detained the suspect, they reportedly found him to be in possession of seven jiggle keys, a screwdriver, a window punch, a hammer and a flashlight.
