Campus Brief: Name MU's new restaurant, win all you care to eat

Coming up with a creative dining facility name could lead to free food for a year.

The Memorial Union Advisory Board and ASU Campus Dining are accepting entries for a new name for the all-you-care-to-eat dining facility being constructed in the Memorial Union.

The grand prize is an all-access meal plan worth $3,500. The two runners-up would receive $250 worth of Maroon and Gold dollars.

"I think it's just going to be an awesome opportunity for students to take part in a historic event," said Benjamin Starsky, co-chair of the advisory board's dining-services committee.

The contest begins today and will run through May 3. Entry forms can be submitted at the MU information desk, located at the south end of the building.

Starsky said the MU Advisory Board would forward their three favorite entries to Campus Dining.

The three finalists will be notified over the summer and be present at a ceremony in August where the facility's name will be revealed, he added.

Entrants are asked to come up with a creative name and give the reasoning behind the name, Starsky said.

Everyone should enter, Starsky said.

"It takes like five minutes to do it and you could eat free for all year," he added.
