Yes, I've read the book and seen the movie just like I've read the Harry Potter books and have seen those movies too.
But for some reason, where as when I view the Harry Potter movies, I'm seeing an entirely new artistic and imaginative world that my brain could not comprehend, and when I saw The Da Vinci Code it seemed like I was rereading the book, and I don't want to do that.
The book read as if it was an enchanting puzzle, but the movie is a linear chronological timeline seeming cheesy at moments.
Tom Hanks is a great actor, but he doesn't use his talents and create his own Robert Langdon character. It seems like he just reads perfectly and monotonously from the script.
I'm jealous for the people who haven't read the book because they didn't have to waste their time before seeing the film.
I give The Da Vinci Code 2 out of 5 Roses.
