ASU police reported the following incidents Wednesday:
A 29-year-old Tempe man was arrested Tuesday night at the Student Recreation Complex on charges of trespassing, providing false information to police and loitering on campus.
The man had been previously warned and arrested on suspicion of trespassing on ASU property, and fliers with his photo had been posted around campus, police said.
An SRC employee reportedly saw him enter the building and notified police.
Police met the suspect on the second floor of the SRC, where he gave police a wrong name but was identified by a Texas-shaped tattoo on his stomach, police reported.
The suspect reportedly said that he did not know it was against the law to lie to the police.
When police tried to handcuff the man, he moved his body side to side and swung his arms, police reported.
Officers attempted to pull the suspect to the floor and then deployed a Taser into the suspect's back, after which he continued to struggle.
The man was handcuffed and transported to Tempe St. Luke's Hospital for treatment.
