Devil Dish

I always thought that the analogy that life is a game was way overused.

But last weekend gave me a whole new perspective on that statement.

One of my best friends at ASU unexpectedly passed away on Friday.

In addition to being one of the most painful and emotional experiences I have ever gone through, that event also gave me a huge reality check as to what life is about.

Life really is a game, and we need to play it as much as possible. Buckle down and do work when you need to, but don't forget to enjoy life too.

Have fun. Participate in the activities you enjoy. And most of all, treasure the relationships you have with your family and friends because you never know when it might be the last time you ever see them.

Don't play the game of life to win.

Play the game just to play it.
