ASU Police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

A 39-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Monday morning at Palo Verde West for trespassing.

Police responded to a call about a male jumping a gated area on the ground level of PV West at approximately 4:40 a.m., according to reports.

A search of the area found the suspect sleeping in a chair in a gated area around the ground level, police reported.

The man was awakened and asked for his ID and provided his Arizona drivers' license, police reported.

A records check of the man showed he had been warned about trespassing and loitering twice by ASU police, according to the report.

The man was placed under arrest and released after receiving his citation, police reported.



A 27-year-old Glendale man was arrested Sunday night by Chandler Police at the intersection of Hartford and Ray avenues in Chandler on an active ASU Police Department warrant.

The man, who was released to ASU Police for transport to the ASU Police Department, was wanted for several citations, according to the report.



Tempe Police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

A 27-year-old transient man was arrested at Safeway, 922 E. Broadway Road, Monday afternoon for shoplifting.

The man was seen removing items valued at $20.94 from display shelves and walked out of the store without paying, police reported.

He was detained by store security and then subsequently turned over to Tempe police, according to the report.

The man was booked into Tempe City Jail and was held to see a judge, police reported.



A 35-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Monday morning on the 900 block of East 110th Avenue in Phoenix for one count of possession of marijuana for sale and one count of misconduct involving a weapon.

Police found numerous pounds of marijuana in the closet of the man's bedroom and firearms inside the residence, according to the report.

The man was advised of his right, which he waived, and was transported to Tempe City Jail and booked, police reported.



A 28-year-old Mesa man was arrested Monday night at Guadalupe and Country Club roads on one count of possession of marijuana and one count of possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

The man was arrested after being stopped for a red light violation, police reported.

A strong odor of marijuana was coming from inside the vehicle, according to the report.

The man handed over a baggie containing a small but usable amount of marijuana, police reported.

During a search of the man's vehicle, two pipes with marijuana residue were found, according to the report.

The man was booked into Tempe City Jail and released, police reported.
