In this week's edition of Hump Day Hoopla, I failed to mention the Sun Devil basketball team that the experts will be talking about this weekend.
That would be the women's basketball team, and I take the blame for not giving the Lady Devils the kudos they sincerely deserve.
Despite losing to Stanford on Monday in the finals of the Pac-10 tournament, the Sun Devils should still be a high seed in the NCAA tournament and are poised to make a serious run at a championship.
Look for senior All-Pac-10 selections Emily Westerberg and Aubree Johnson to really put this team on their backs and lead it deep into the tournament in their last hoorah as Sun Devils.
I also expect coach Charli Turner Thorne to show why she deserved to be the Pac-10 Coach of the Year.
ASU is a basketball school right now, a women's basketball school. I just simply cannot wait for when both hoops teams are playing in The Big Dance.
