Ambient sounds of harps and keyboards float from speakers, and lights illuminate a row of charcoal and oil paintings. Abstract shapes form kaleidoscope sunbursts and green and blue bubbles.

Step out of your hectic schedule and into the Harry Wood Gallery, where you can indulge your imagination and creativity while supporting your fellow students. Enjoy a quiet moment on a wooden bench, and stimulate your senses with visual, audio and written works.

Sponsored by the Herberger College of Fine Arts, the gallery mainly showcases Master of Fine Arts thesis displays by graduate students. Exhibitions change weekly, and admission is free, so repeat visits are a must.

Stroll around the small, simple room and admire three walls lined with paintings. There is ample space to move about, as this gem isn't usually crowded.

The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays.
