Best Place to Buy Vinyl: Memory Lane Records

Vinyl isn't dead and neither is music from previous generations. Satisfy your craving for quality sound at Memory Lane Records, which carries out-of-print records, tapes and CDs. The store, a family-run business, has been selling records for 22 years. Although its small, two rows of ceiling-high shelves are stocked with records of every genre imaginable. Old jazz and classic rockers like Janis Joplin and Poco mix with hip-hop artists like Nappy Roots. Retro music from the '50s and '60s is another popular seller, owner Deana Finn says. Prices begin around $12. For rarer releases like certain Beatles records, $65 is the norm.
