Three ASU track & field athletes were named the Pac-10 Athlete of the Week for April 9-15.

Senior sprinter Domenik Peterson earned the men's track honor, sophomore thrower Sarah Stevens earned the women's field title and senior sprinter Latosha Wallace earned the women's track award.

Peterson had an outstanding day on the track at the Sun Angel Track Classic Saturday as he ran two of the fastest times in the nation so far this season in the 200m dash and 400m dash.

Peterson's time of 20.70 seconds in the 200 currently ranks as the fifth-fastest in the nation so far this year while his time of 45.99 in the 400 is the fourth-fastest.

Peterson was also a member of the 4x100 relay team that clocked in at 39.62 seconds, which ranks as the sixth-fastest in the nation.

This is the third time Peterson has earned the Pac-10 Athlete of the Week as he won the award once in 2004 and 2005.

Stevens had another banner meet at the Sun Angel Track Classic as she broke her own school record in the shot put and won the event with a toss of 18.03m (59 feet, 2 inches).

The toss also moved her into first place in the nation and No. 9 on the world lists.

Stevens also won the discus with a toss of 55.32m (181-06) and placed second in the hammer with a toss of 62.28m (204-04).

Wallace also continued her stellar season as her time of 56.75 seconds in the 400m hurdles was the third-best in ASU history and also ranks as the No. 2 time in both the college ranks and the world this season.

Wallace was also the anchor of the 4x400m team that recorded a time of 3:34.42, its fastest this season.

Both the men's and women's teams also continued to earn respect in the national polls this week. The women are ranked No. 1 for the third consecutive week and the men moved up three spots to No. 4 in the latest edition of the Trackwire Top 25.

Many individual athletes and two relay teams also are on the Dandy Dozen list, which ranks the top 12 individuals or teams in each event.

Stevens leads the way for the Sun Devils as she is ranked No. 1 in the shot put and discus and No. 6 in the hammer.

Junior Jacquelyn Johnson also holds a No. 1 spot and continues to be ranked first in the heptathlon.

Junior thrower Jessica Pressley joins Stevens on three lists as she is currently No. 3 in shot put, No. 2 in discus and No. 9 in the hammer.

Senior distance runner Amy Hastings also finds herself on multiple lists as she ranks fourth in the 5,000m and 10,000m run.

Wallace is currently ranked No. 4 on the 400m hurdle list, while junior Tai Battle ranks eighth in the discus. Junior April Kubistha is ranked No. 12 in the pole vault.

Rounding out the ranked women is the 4x400 relay team, which currently ranks seventh.

On the men's side, redshirt freshman thrower Ryan Whiting leads the way as he is ranked No. 2 in the shot put and No. 9 in the discus.

Senior distance runner Aaron Aguayo currently holds on to the top spot in the 3,000m steeplechase.

Peterson is also part of two lists as he ranks sixth in the 200m run and is also a member of the 4x100 relay team that ranks seventh.

Rounding out the ranked men on the list are junior Matt Turner, who is ranked second in the long jump, junior Joshua Kinnaman, who is ranked fifth in the decathalon, and junior Brad Roth, who is ranked eighth in the javelin.
