Men's Basketball
Jeff Pendergraph, Sophomore, Forward
In a spectacular sophomore season Jeff Pendergraph led the Sun Devils in scoring (12.1 points per game) and earned honorable mention All-Pac-10 honors. He proved to be one of the most skilled post players in the nation.
Besides being a versatile post player with the ability to make jump shots while facing the basket, Pendergraph also contributed by leading ASU in rebounding (9.1 per game) and field goal percentage (55 percent).

Women's Basketball
Briann January, Sophomore, Guard
While the ASU women's basketball team is renowned for using as many as 10 players in any given game, there is just one player that should have the ball with the game on the line.
Sophomore guard Briann January became the Sun Devils go-to player during the NCAA Tournament. She raised her game after her apprentice, freshman guard Dymond Simon, went down with injury.
With two seasons left at ASU, it's just the start for January, who will surely contend for Pac-10 Player of the Year honors before it's all said and done.

Wrestling
Brian Stith,
Senior, 157 pounds
Few Sun Devil athletes have had the career ASU Brian Stith has had.
Stith capped off his senior year with a regular season record of 21-2 on his way to winning his second Pac-10 title.
Although he never earned a national title, Stith will always be remembered in the pantheon of ASU wrestlers.

Gymnastics
April Boone, Senior, All-Around
Boone had big shoes to fill when Ashley Kelly ended her collegiate gymnastics career last season.
That stigma followed Boone into the 2007 season as she was named captain.
But Boone deserves to have her name revered as well.
Boone earned consistently high scores and led her team with a level head during its toughest season in years.

Men's swim/dive
Micky Benedetti, Redshirt Freshman
This All-American dominated the Pac-10 and made a splash at the NCAA's in his first year on the boards for ASU.

Women's swim/dive
Caitlin Andrew, Junior
Andrew was named an All-American for the third straight year and enjoyed great success on both the conference and national levels.
Her third-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly at the NCAA's was the best for any Sun Devil swimmer.

Spring Football
Kyle Williams, Freshman, Wide Receiver
New ASU head coach Dennis Erickson may have been the talk of the town this spring, but freshman wide receiver Kyle Williams was the fresh face that stole the show.
Williams played in just six games during the 2006 season, but made up for it with three stellar performances in scrimmages during the spring.

Water Polo
Addison Doud, Sophomore, All-Around
Addison Doud was the Sun Devils' biggest offensive threat this season as she led the team in total points and scored a team-high 48 goals.

Men's Tennis
Matt Brooklyn, Freshman
Since preseason tournaments, English import Matt Brooklyn has made himself known not only on the ASU team, but in the Pac-10 region and nationally.
He was Pac-10 Player of the Week for March 26 through April 2, is ranked 124th nationally and boasts a 27-11 singles record on the season.

Women's Tennis
Nadia Abdala, Freshman.
Abdala came onto the 2007 women's tennis team with her name at stake.
Her older sister Laila had put up a 22-10 singles record in the six spot during the 2006 season.
This year, the younger sister joined her and put up a 23-9 singles record in the two spot and put herself out on the national rankings list in the top-50 through most of the year. She's currently ranked 33.

Baseball
Brett Wallace,
sophomore, first baseman
Everyone knew the ASU baseball team was going to have a raucous offense this season, but sophomore first baseman Brett Wallace has exploded into one of the nation's best.
The guy they call "Wally" has terrorized opposing pitchers this season on his way to becoming a sure-fire national player of the year candidate.
Wally leads the Pac-10 in nearly every statistical category.
His 66 RBIs are more than teammate and 2006 Pac-10 RBI champ Ike Davis hit all last season and are complimented by his 13 home runs and .435 batting average.

Softball
Katie Burkhart,
Junior, Pitcher
It was a close call between Burkhart and sophomore outfielder Kaitlin Cochran, but Burkhart's numbers are too irresistible.
Currently, she holds 26-10 record with a 0.95 ERA to go along with 380 K's in 40 appearances on the year.
Her greatest effort undoubtedly came on March 15 when she tossed a perfect game against Notre Dame.
Burkhart became ASU's all-time strikeout leader and the first Sun Devil pitcher to eclipse the 1,000 strikeout mark.
