Devil Dish

There has to be a better system for getting students into football games.

I applaud the athletic department for putting season tickets on Sun Cards automatically, but making students wait in a huge line nearly two hours before kickoff in the sweltering heat just to get wristbands and get inside the stadium is still a big issue.

It's not fun. And this is coming from a lifelong Sun Devil fan that waited 18 years to stand in that sea of gold.

My biggest gripe about the system is it basically eliminates the possibility of tailgating, which is one of the greatest parts of the game experience.

If this is ASU's bid to try to keep students from coming into the games drunk, it's not working. People still do it.

Lots of people.

Let students pick up their wristbands anytime on game day, enjoy the pregame festivities and then come into the stadium to cheer on the Sun Devils.
