Priceless Sports Commentary: You got got

Following a crazy Labor Day weekend in the world of all things sports, it's only right to take a look back and call some people out in the first edition of You Got Got.

If anyone wore the yoke on their face this past weekend and needed to be pointed out, it was the University of Michigan football team.

It turned out another ASU (Appalachian St.) made national headlines by escaping the Big House with a 34-32 road win in one of the most shocking outcomes in college football history.

Michigan's first showing was worse than the unveiling of Medellín at the Cannes Film Festival in the season finale of Entourage.

Not that it makes much of a difference, but Lauren Caitlin Upton, the infamous Miss Teen South Carolina who couldn't explain why one out of every five Americans have trouble finding the United States on a map is currently attending the ASU in North Carolina.

I think it's safe to say five out of five students over there know where Ann Arbor, Mich., is on a map because they now own that city.

Also receiving an embarrassing loss, San Jose State wore it pretty bad over the weekend.

Not even 300 of those Spartans could stop senior running back Ryan Torain and the Sun Devils on Saturday.

But that wasn't as painful as watching the physical abuse taken by the Argentinean national basketball team at the hands of Team USA in the form of repeating posterizing dunks during the championship game of the FIBA Olympic qualifier.

You won't see that many facials at your local spa.

UA was another team that took it on the chin over the weekend.

When a local paper runs the headline "Tuitama avoids injury," as if to say that was the most positive aspect of the Wildcats 20-7 loss to BYU, it's safe to say there is going to be another bowl-less season in Tucson.

Switching gears from a consistently underachieving program to a consistently achieving golfer, we have to throw Tiger Woods under the bus for not getting the job done against Phil "The Thrill" Mickelson, who Woods was paired with Monday at the Deutsche Bank Championship.

Mickelson beat Woods for the first time while playing together in a final round by two strokes, despite a double-bogey on the back nine.

Something tells me Eldrick's comments on the Today show to Matt Louer might have offended the golfing gods.

When asked if it was harder to make a 10 foot putt to win a major championship or to change a baby diaper without getting any of the mess on him, Woods said, "No. 2."

It looks like the only No. 2 he should be worried about is the second best golfer in the world.

Obviously Tiger will be able to bounce back, but you can't say the same for the Baltimore Orioles or the Notre Dame football team.

Both deserve a mention after pitiful performances this past weekend.

In the recent weeks, the Orioles have been no-hit by a rookie and nearly outscored by 30 runs in a single game, just like the Fighting Irish were outscored by 30 points in their worst home opener in school history.

Surely more embarrassing moments will go down in the coming months and PSC will be there to get every bit of it, so be on the lookout for future editions of You Got Got.
