Even in the midst of a surprisingly entertaining ASU football season, many Sun Devils are knocking on the gym door.

Basketball season is starting and there are plenty of unanswered questions.

Can junior forward Jeff Pendergraph and sophomore center Eric Boateng coexist?

Will freshman standout James Harden emerge as the Julius Hodge of coach Herb Sendek's North Carolina State teams?

How will sophomores Jerren Shipp, Derek Glasser and Christian Polk handle demotions to incoming freshman Jamelle McMillan, Ty Abbot and Harden?

The most pressing question, though, is whether the athletic department will be able to coax enough people to fill Wells Fargo Arena.

The tires on this issue have been kicked aplenty, but the solution is clear: Move the student section to center court.

We are already attracting top-flight talent in recent recruits Boateng and Harden, but for this to be long-term; we need more butts in the seats.

Duke has the Cameron Crazies. Why can't we have Wells Fargo Herbivores?
