Tempe police reported the following incidents Monday:
- A 19-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Thursday night on the 5000 block of South Mill Avenue on charges of possession of narcotic drugs, using a fake ID to gain entry to a bar, displaying the license of another and providing false information, according to the police report.
She reportedly lied about her personal information to avoid arrest after she used someone else's driver's license in an attempt to gain entry into a bar.
A search revealed a usable quantity of cocaine in her possession, police reported.
She was transported to Tempe City Jail for booking, according to the police report.
- An 18-year-old Scottsdale woman was arrested Saturday morning on the 2100 block of East Southern Avenue on charges of unlawful use of transportation, possession of drug paraphernalia and dangerous drugs, according to the police report.
She was contacted in the front passenger seat of a stolen vehicle and attempted to leave the scene upon police contact, according to the police report.
After the arrest, a search of her purse revealed a usable quantity of methamphetamine, a pipe and empty "baggies," police reported.
She was transported to Tempe City Jail where she was booked and held to see a judge, police reported.
- A 42-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Wednesday evening on the 8400 block of South Hardy Drive on charges of child abuse, according to the police report.
An investigation revealed she had used a black leather belt to hit her 7-year-old son at least eight times on his back, right leg, buttocks and right arm, leaving raised welts and strap marks on all of the areas, police reported.
She admitted that her actions were excessive and needs parenting assistance, police reported.
She was transported to Tempe City Jail where she was booked and held to see a judge, according to the police report.
- A 31-year-old Queen Creek man was arrested Thursday night on Seventh Street and Mill Avenue on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and misconduct with weapons after he was contacted through an open window of his vehicle, police reported.
When contacted, he reportedly placed his left hand into his waistband and put his hand on a pistol, police reported.
He was pulled out of his car and a pipe containing marijuana residue was found, police reported.
A further search revealed a usable quantity of marijuana in the car and his pocket, police reported.
He was transported to Tempe City Jail for booking, police reported.
- A 40-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Saturday evening at University Drive and Lindon Lane on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and shoplifting, according to the police report.
An investigation revealed he unlawfully removed a 12-pack of Heineken brand beer valued at $15.66 from the Circle K, 1330 West University Drive, police reported.
A search revealed a small clear plastic "baggie" located in his right front pants pocket containing a usable quantity of a green leafy substance identified as marijuana, according to the police report.
He was transported to Tempe City Jail where he was booked and held to see a judge, police reported.
- A 19-year-old Queen Creek, man was arrested Saturday morning on the 700 block of South Mill Avenue on charges of possession of dangerous drugs, being under 21 with liquor in his system and being a minor with alcohol while operating a motor vehicle, police reported.
He was originally contacted after he fell asleep behind the wheel while in the drive thru at a Jack in the Box, police reported.
He agreed to a portable breath test, which revealed a BAC of .162, according to the police report.
A search of his vehicle revealed he had 13 soma pills, which were identified and verified by poison control, police reported.
He was transported to Tempe City Jail where he was booked, according to the police report.
