Tempe police reported the following incidents Monday:

  • A 40-year-old Tempe man was arrested Saturday night on the 3800 block of South Priest Drive on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and two outstanding Tempe City warrants, according to the police report.

    The man was stopped after a convenience store employee called about his suspicious activity, police reported.

    After an investigation, it was found the man had two outstanding Tempe City warrants for shoplifting and assault, police reported.

    A search revealed he was in possession of marijuana in a pouch that was attached to his pants, according to the police report.

    He was transported to Tempe City Jail where he was booked and held to see a judge, police reported.

  • A 27-year-old Higley, Ariz., man was arrested Saturday morning for trespassing on the 1600 block of East Baker Drive, according to the police report.

    An investigation revealed he forcibly entered and refused to leave the residence that was occupied at the time of the incident, police reported.

    He was transported to Tempe City Jail where he was booked and held to see a judge, according to the police report.

  • A 23-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Friday morning on the 100 block of East Sixth Street on charges of misdemeanor assault, according to the police report.

    She was arrested after police observed her grab and pull a security officer's radio microphone away from her when being contacted about trespassing.

    She then used both hands and pushed and punched the security officer in the chest area, according to the police report.

    She was transported to Tempe City Jail for booking, police reported.

  • A 23-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Friday morning on the 1500 block of South Mill Avenue on charges of aggravated assault on a licensed health care practitioner, according to the police report.

    She reportedly kicked the registered nurse twice in the stomach and once in the right hand while being treated for prior injuries from another incident at Tempe St. Luke's Hospital.

    She was transported to Tempe City Jail for booking, police reported.

  • A 20-year-old Chandler man was arrested Friday morning on the 9000 block of South Maple Avenue on charges of burglary from a vehicle and possession of burglary tools and stolen property, according to the police report.

    He and two other subjects were arrested after they were observed by a witness inside a vehicle with a bag of burglary tools in plain view, along with a stereo and other property, police reported.

    The man also had wire cutters in his front right pocket and admitted to burglarizing the vehicles, along with other vehicles that have yet to be identified, police reported.

    He was transported to Tempe City Jail where he was booked, police reported.
