ASU soccer plays host to UCLA, Mexico in spring exhibitions

The ASU women's soccer team will take a break from the offseason this weekend when it hosts exhibition games against the Mexican National team and Pac-10 rival UCLA at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium.

The Sun Devils will play UCLA Saturday night at 7 p.m. and the Mexican National Team Sunday night at 7 p.m.

UCLA and the Mexican National team will square off Friday night.

This will mark the second time ASU plays the Mexican National Team in 18 months.

Team Mexico came to Tempe in October of 2006 and beat the Sun Devils 3-0 in front of a record crowd of 2,126.

Though it won't count in the Pac-10 standings, the Sun Devils will also have a chance to avenge a 3-1 loss at UCLA this past season.

Under first year coach Kevin Boyd, the Sun Devils went 10-9-1 (4-4-1 Pac-10) in 2007 and narrowly missed making the NCAA tournament.
