Devil Dish

Roger Clemens. Kelvin Sampson. Bill Belichick.

What do those three names have in common?

They've all been accused of cheating in their sport: In the past week.

The sad thing is, I don't feel like these guys needed to cheat in order to excel in their game.

Roger Clemens was throwing a baseball right by opposing bats and locating pitches perfectly before his alleged steroid use.

Kelvin Sampson has been a successful coach at two schools, and he probably would have still gotten his elite recruits without any alleged violations.

And Bill Belichick obviously can coach. A perfect regular season and three championships isn't an accident. Why did he have to take that extra step and start taping the other teams?

Call me an eternal optimist and completely naïve, but can people just please play their game the right way?

Because honestly, it disgusts me when the lead story on SportsCenter every day is about "so-and-so" who did something shady.

I want to hear about the games and those involved who work their butts off to achieve their success, not those who cut corners when they probably didn't need to in the first place.
