With a 23-0 record, Memphis remains the only undefeated team in college basketball this year.

But will that statement hold true in April?

Going undefeated is not an easy task, especially in college basketball, where a team can play more than 35 games during its season.

No team has pulled off the perfect season since Bob Knight's 1976 Indiana Hoosiers, but this Tigers team sure is making a push for history.

With a weak conference schedule, some say that Memphis should not be deserving of a high seed in the NCAA Tournament. But what this team has done can still be seen as remarkable. Looking at the Conference USA, not many teams pop out from the crop as being top-notch.

That is why all credit should go toward John Calipari, who, with his slicked back hair, has given smaller schools something to root for.

The 16-year coach has gone out of his way to recruit big-name players to Memphis. He has been able to build that talent into a solid nucleus that could possibly be cutting down the nets in San Antonio come the end of the season.
