Brad and Angelina make it look so easy sometimes. It's like they are in a different country every weekend. With all the kids they've adopted, they must be on a mission to create a family band called the "Multi Cultural Fun Time Jamboree."
As easy and fun as they make it seem, adopting a child does come with some risks. The YouTube video "Matumbo Goldberg," starring Anthony Anderson, is a playful dig at the expense of all the celebrities who have adopted children. It's not in any way suggesting adoption is bad. It's just funny.
The video centers on a married couple with no kids. They speak of how they had never really considered adoption as a real option, but once they read about Brad and Angelina is "US Weekly," they just had to adopt. One week later, they are the proud parents of four year old Matumbo from Nairobi.
When Matumbo arrives, they are a bit stunned to find, not a 4-year-old boy, but a 34-year-old man named Mark. Of course, they don't know he's 34; they think he's "more like 16."
The video hits its high point when Matumbo and his new father are having the "Birds and Bees" talk. Mr. Goldberg tries to ease into the conversation, as most parents would, by saying, "When two people love each other, and they get together, they do certain things…" He is abruptly interrupted by Matumbo with, "69? Reverse Cowgirl? The Shocker?"
Rob Pearlstein wrote and directed the four-minute short film, and also stars as Mr. Goldberg. The video can be found on YouTube with a simple "Matumbo Goldberg" search.
There are plenty of laughs and a bit of vulgarity, which always equals humor. After "Matumbo Goldberg," is finished, do a quick search for "Totally Awesome," starring Tracy Morgan. Tracy Morgan might be crazy. He also might be the smartest man in America; watch and see.
