Tempe police reported the following incident Thursday:

  • A 53-year-old Mesa man was arrested near Rural and Guadalupe roads Thursday afternoon on suspicion of luring a minor for sexual exploitation, police reported.

    The man was accused of having several online conversations with a “person that he believed to be an underage juvenile” and arranged to meet with, intending to sexually exploit the juvenile, according to the police report.

    The man reportedly had conversations with the person since July 21, police reported.

    He was arrested on suspicion of five counts of luring a minor for sexual exploitation, according to the report.

Tempe police reported the following incidents Wednesday:

  • An 18-year-old male ASU student was arrested Wednesday evening near McClintock Drive and Apache Boulevard on suspicion of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police reported.

    The student was reportedly carrying a 30-pack of Keystone Light when police contacted him, according to the police report.

    Inside the case of beer, police found a glass bong with marijuana residue, police reported.

    Police searched the student and found a bag with a usable quantity of marijuana in his zipper pocket, according to the police report.

    The student was cited for the alcohol and transported to jail in connection with counts of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to the report.

    Another 18-year-old male ASU student was arrested during the same incident on suspicion of possession of marijuana, police reported.

    Police searched the student and found marijuana in his wallet, according to the police report.

  • A 30-year-old Tempe man was arrested near Sixth Street and Mill Avenue on Wednesday night on suspicion of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police reported.

    The man was on a park bench smoking a cigarette with a green, leafy substance when police contacted him, according to the police report.

    He was transported to the Tempe City Jail, police reported.

  • A 34-year-old Mesa woman was arrested early Wednesday morning on suspicion of possessing marijuana, police reported.

    Police contacted the woman in reference to a fight, according to the police report.

    Police arrested her on suspicion of one count of possession of marijuana, police reported.
