Tempe police reported the following incidents Thursday:

  • A 26-year-old Avondale man was arrested Thursday evening near Mill Avenue and Broadway Road on suspicion of trespassing, police reported.

    Authorities responded to a call of a “drunk man trying to break in” to an apartment, according to the police report.

    The man allegedly tried to break into the residence of two adults and three small children, police reported.

    The man was transported to the Tempe City Jail on suspicion of first-degree trespassing, police said.

  • A 42-year-old Tempe woman was arrested near Broadway and Rural roads Thursday morning on suspicion of assaulting two police detectives and providing false information to law enforcement, police reported.

    Police contacted the woman in reference to an outstanding warrant, and she reportedly tried to run from the authorities, according to the police report.

    She then kicked and scratched the two detectives, police reported.

    Police reported the woman admitted to trying to get away from police.

    She was booked on suspicion of resisting arrest, aggravated assault and providing false information to police, police reported.

  • A 23-year-old woman was arrested Thursday evening on the 500 block of South Mill Avenue on suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police reported.

    The woman allowed police to search her vehicle after authorities observed her behaving in a suspicious manner, according to the police report.

    Inside her vehicle, police found two pipes with marijuana residue, police reported.

    Authorities also found a usable quantity of marijuana inside the glove box of her vehicle, police reported.

    The woman was transported to the Tempe City Jail, according to the report.

  • A 25-year-old Mesa man was arrested early Thursday morning near Guadalupe and Kyrene roads on suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police reported.

    The man consented to a police search of his vehicle, and authorities found a usable quantity of marijuana underneath the back seat, according to the police report.

    He was booked into the Tempe City Jail, police reported.
