Something magical happened to me on Monday night.

I had a sudden flashback.

I could see myself in the sixth grade, playing the classic Nintendo 64 game NFL Blitz.

The reason for the memory: A guy dressed up in a purple shirt with blonde, Rapunzel-like locks and a Flavor-Flav Viking helmet.

That’s because he received a “Gillette Jump,” as my roommate claims, from Randy Moss in a sea of New England Patriot fans.

I realize Moss is still a ridiculous talent, but remember the Moss of old? From his first couple of years in Minnesota?

He was unbelievable in Blitz.

Just pick the play “Da Bomb,” chuck it to the guy and you score like 93 percent of the time. I swear.

Nowadays, games like Madden don’t do him justice.

I wonder how good Moss could have been if he gave 100 percent his whole career.

Think if Moss had his own physical abilities but the mind of Jerry Rice.

It’s frightening.

But you can’t hate on Moss, he’s one of the greatest to ever play the game.
