ASU police reported the following incidents Wednesday:

  • Between 1 and 5:30 p.m. Sept. 24, an unknown person or persons committed criminal damage to the car of a 19-year-old female ASU student, police reported.

    The damaged included scratching and denting of the hood and front driver’s side panel, according to the police report.

    The vehicle was parked on the on the west side of 721 E. Apache Blvd., police reported.

    The estimated damaged is $1,000, according to the police report.

    There are no suspects, leads or witnesses at this time, police reported.

  • Between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sept. 22 an unknown person or persons slashed a tire and removed a spare tire from the car of a 28-year-old male ASU student, police reported.

    The car was parked in Lot 2 on the West campus, according to the police report.

    The estimated loss is $200, police reported.

    There is one lead at this time, according to the police report and an investigation is underway.

Tempe police reported the following incidents Wednesday:

  • A 28-year-old Tempe man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of aggravated assault, police reported.

    The man was apprehended at 204 E. University Drive after assaulting a man while four witnesses observed according to the police report.

    Witness saw the suspect punching another man in the face, knocking him down onto the ground and temporarily knocking him unconscious, police reported.

    The suspect then punched the man again while he was unconscious on the ground, according to the police report.

    The injured man was taken to Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital and treated for a head and brain injury, police reported.

    The suspect was transported to Tempe City Jail and booked, according to the police report.
