Shopping has now evolved into something newsworthy with the Web site talkingshopping.com. However, this news is definitely not boring with the latest on new products to be instantly craved.

The Web site has a homepage with top shopping stories for the day in blog format, and there are several other tabs taking the reader to different sections of shopping news, including style, celebrity, home, health and moms.

Although the site focuses more on the fashion and shopping needs of women, there are still home and health sections that apply to any gender. Men interested in the latest fashion and looking for a possible gift could find the site useful as well.

Each section features shopping stories written by interns, including some ASU students, that introduce a new product and a review, as well as the cost and where to find it. The writers also research scams, recalls and test new products for the readers.

Products may include lip gloss, baby formula, iPhone technology, etc. Products and fashion featured on the site can be found virtually anywhere online or in most grocery stores, which greatens the Web site’s appeal. All products and news are connected to the United States in some way, even if they also have an international aspect.

Although some featured products and fashion are pricey, they also have reviews for products within the budget of the average student — especially helpful with the state of the economy.

Some articles may deal with actual news, like a fashion show, and then give examples of clothing shoppers can buy.

Keeping updated on the latest fall trends, the site featured an article on how to wear plaid from Stacy London, the host of the television show What Not to Wear. The story then gave examples of clothing, where to buy it and prices.

With new stories every day and upcoming multimedia elements on the site, students and fashionistas alike will be rewarded every click of the way.
