That is the first word that comes to mind when I think of Arizona sports fans.
As the Cardinals spent Tuesday fielding questions from the hoards of media outlets from around the globe, I couldn’t help but develop a few of my own questions for their so-called fans.
1. When did you buy your Fitzgerald jersey?
2. How many times did you sit on the blistering hot metal bleachers of Sun Devil Stadium in September to watch the weekly beat-down given to your beloved Cards?
3. What are the other two cities the Cards played in?
If you answered: when they made the playoffs, 0-5 times, and I don’t know; take the stupid flag off your car and stop talking about how “sick” the Cardinals are.
Chances are, you were probably a Patriots or Colts fan until the Cardinals made the playoffs.
However, to those real Cardinals fans, I commend you.
After years of futility and loyalty under a cheapskate owner, your boys are finally on the biggest stage in the entire world.
