The ASU track and field team came slightly back down to earth last weekend.
The competition in College Station, Texas, was much stronger than the team faced earlier this season, and it showed in the results.
The men’s and women’s teams finished ninth and sixth, respectively, in the Texas A&M Invitational.
Coach Greg Kraft said he came away from the meet with mixed feelings.
The Sun Devils had their fair share of solid performances, but overall the team was not as dominant as in past weeks.
Kraft added that the team did not show the full capabilities of its talent.
This weekend the majority of the team will get a little time to rest and recover from any nagging injuries before the MPSF Championships in Seattle Wash. next weekend.
The MSPF meet is one of only two meets left before the NCAA Indoor Championships.
ASU will send only a few athletes up to a tune-up meet at NAU to work on a few mechanical issues.
