Phoenix still has hope.

The rejuvenated Suns posted a season-high 154 points against the Golden State Warriors Sunday night.

The Suns are inching closer and closer to the Dallas Mavericks and the eighth spot in the playoffs. Both teams’ schedules seem about even, but Suns’ players may finally get a jolt after absolutely demolishing the Warriors.

If the Suns do make the playoffs as the eighth seed, it will be one of the most-watched opening-round series guaranteed.

Shaq versus Kobe? In the same conference? I usually hate the storylines involving the two former teammates and how hyped up the games are, but this would be different.

The two superstars finally seemed to have settled their differences and would just play competitive, entertaining basketball. That is if everything goes to plan and the Suns can make the playoffs.

Nobody wants to watch Dirk Nowitzki against Pau Gasol in the first round. Give us the marquee matchup of Shaq and Kobe. Wow, never thought I’d say that.
