ASU police reported the following incidents Wednesday:

  • Between about 6 p.m. Sunday and 9:20 a.m. Monday an unknown person or persons committed criminal damage on the Tempe campus, police reported.

    The suspect or suspects damaged a wall and steps at McClintock Hall, according to a police report.

    The total estimated damage is $700, police reported.

    There are no leads, suspects or witnesses, according to the police report.

  • Between about 8 a.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday an unknown person or persons committed theft from the Tempe campus, police reported.

    A 19-year-old female ASU student reported a pair of shoes and a watch stolen from her dorm room in Palo Verde Main while she was out of town for spring break, according to the police report.

    The student told police she locked the door when she left on vacation and that the door was locked when she returned, but a pair of shoes left on her bed had been removed, police reported.

    The total estimated value of the items is $550, according to the police report.

  • Between about 10:30 p.m. March 9 and 5:15 p.m. March 13 an unknown person or persons stole the car of an 18-year-old female ASU student, police reported.

    The student’s sedan was parked on the first level of the Rural Road parking structure, according to the police report.

    The total estimated loss is $8,500, police reported.

    There are no leads, suspects or witnesses at this time, according to the police report.

Tempe police reported the following incident Wednesday:

  • A 22-year-old Tempe man was arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana, police reported.

    The suspect was stopped for a traffic violation after failing to stop when exiting a private driveway on the 1100 block of East Eighth Street, according to the police report.

    The arresting officer said he could smell the marijuana as soon as he exited his police car, police reported.

    A search revealed a substantial amount of marijuana in the center console of the vehicle and in the man’s front pocket, according to the police report.

    The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, booked and released pending charges.
