ASU police reported the following incidents on Monday:

  • Between 11:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. on April 5, an unknown person or persons burglarized the vehicle of a 23-year-old male ASU student, police reported.

    The student’s sedan was parked on the southeast side of the parking lot at the ASU Karsten Golf Course on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

    The suspect or suspects smashed the front passenger-side window and stole several items from inside the car, including the student’s backpack and laptop computer, police reported.

    The total estimated loss and damage to the vehicle is $1,280, according to the report.

    There are no leads, suspects or witnesses at this time, police reported.

  • Between 1 and 4 p.m. on April 4, an unknown person or persons stole a money clip belonging to a 19-year-old male ASU student, police reported.

    The money clip, which held cash, a debit card, Sun Card, identification and health card, was taken from the pool at Vista del Sol on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

    The student reported that he had left the item, along with his cell phone and keys, rolled up inside a towel on a lounge chair near the north side of the pool, police reported.

    At this time there is no total estimated value of the items lost, according to the report.

    There are no leads, suspects or witnesses at this time, police reported.

  • Between 9 and 11:30 p.m. on April 3, an unknown person or persons committed criminal damage on the Tempe campus, police reported.

    An ASU staff member reported a severely damaged window in a lounge at Palo Verde Main, according to a police report.

    The total estimated loss is $450, police reported.

    There are no leads, suspects or witnesses at this, according to the report.

  • At about 2:20 a.m. on April 2, a 23-year-old male ASU student and a 25-year-old male ASU student were arrested on suspicion of theft, police reported.

    The men reportedly stole two patio furniture chairs from a patio at Vista del Sol on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

    The chairs were recovered in the students’ possession, police reported.

    Their total estimated value is $20, according to the report.

    The students were arrested, cited and released at the scene, police reported.

  • Between about 5:30 and 6 p.m. on April 1, an unknown suspect or suspects stole the wallet of a 35-year-old female ASU student, police reported.

    The woman told police she had left her wallet in her locked office in the Life Sciences E-wing building on the Tempe campus and returned to find it missing, according to a police report.

    The student said she shares her office with two other employees but had reason to believe a worker with custodial services stole the item, though she could not explain why, police reported.

    The total estimated loss is $30, according to the report.

    Police have no investigative leads or suspects at this time, police reported.
