Tempe police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

  • A 23-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of first-degree trespassing and preventing the use of a telephone during an emergency, police reported.

    The man unlawfully entered his girlfriend’s residence on the 500 block of West University Drive in Tempe shortly after 10:30 p.m. on

    Saturday through an unlocked back door, according to a police report.

    When his girlfriend attempted to call 911, the man took the phone away from her, preventing her from contacting police, according to the report.

    The man was transported and booked Sunday in the Tempe City Jail, police reported.

  • A 31-year-old Apache Junction man was arrested Friday on suspicion of aggravated assault, police reported.

    Investigation revealed that the man made aggressive advances toward two security guards at the 1300 block of East Broadway Road in Tempe with an object in his hand that resembled an ice pick, according to the report.

    The man was transported and booked into Tempe City Jail and held to see a judge, according to the police report.

  • A 33-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Friday on suspicion of domestic violence and assault, police reported.

    Investigation revealed that while at the 1300 block of East Broadway Road in Tempe, the woman punched and kicked her ex-boyfriend and her neighbor, according to a police report.

    An independent witness observed the woman swinging at her ex-boyfriend and hitting the neighbor while holding her to the ground, police reported.

    The woman refused to speak after being given her Miranda rights and was arrested, transported and booked into the Tempe City Jail, where she was held to see a judge, according to the report.
