Former Michigan quarterback Steven Threet will transfer to ASU, ESPN.com reported on Monday, attributing a source close to Threet.
The 6-foot-5-inch quarterback started eight games for the Wolverines last season as a redshirt freshman and threw for 1,105 yards with nine touchdowns and seven interceptions.
ASU lost two quarterbacks this month in redshirt freshman Jack Elway, who left the team but will remain in Tempe as a student, and sophomore Chasen Stangel, who plans to transfer.
Threet will be forced to sit out this season because of NCAA transfer rules, and will then have two years of eligibility remaining.
