The New York Jets are now my least favorite NFL team.

Why? Because they released Brett Favre.

If the Jets had not let Favre out of his contract when he “retired” after the past season, we would not have to sit through another summer of constant coverage of his every move as he attempts yet another comeback.

Actually, the Jets didn’t do anything wrong. I’m just beyond sick of the Brett Favre saga.

I used to be a big Favre fan. I loved his mentality, even if it was sometimes reckless, and the fact that you could always tell that he absolutely loved to play the game and for the Packers.

Or so we thought.

Now that part, or most, of the reason that Favre wants to play for the Vikings this coming season is to spite the Packers, not to mention the fact that he flip-flops more than John Kerry, I absolutely can’t stand him.

Favre helped the Jets get off to a great start last season, but he was also the reason for their collapse down the stretch because his body broke down because he’s old.

Do us all a favor and go away, Brett. Because this is the one time I’ll waste a Devil Dish on you.
