ASU Police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

  • Police officers on the Polytechnic campus found a 14-year-old girl who ran away from her home on the 5600 block of South Sagewood in Mesa late Sunday night, according to a police report.

    The officers found the girl at an apartment complex on the 1500 block of South Power Road, police reported.

    The girl was interviewed at the University’s Polytechnic Police Station before being released to the custody of her parents, according to the report.

  • An 18-year-old ASU student was cited for an alcohol violation on suspicion of underage consumption early Saturday morning, police reported.

    The girl was found unconscious on the south side of Sonora Hall, police reported.

    She was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, cited and released, according to the report.

Tempe Police reported the following incident Monday:

  • A 28-year-old Tempe man was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct on the 2700 block of South Rural Road Monday evening, according to a police report.

    After being thrown out of a nightclub on the 400 block of South Mill Avenue, witnesses said the man went back to his car and retrieved a gun, police reported.

    The man’s friends intervened and convinced him to return to his car, but he was spotted by police and arrested later that evening, according to the report.

    The man was booked into Tempe City Jail and held to see a judge, police reported.

Tempe Police reported the following incident Tuesday:

  • A 49-year-old Mesa man and a 49-year-old Phoenix man were arrested on suspicion of burglary on the 1700 block of East Apache Boulevard late Monday night, according to a police report.

    The Mesa man was spotted by officers inside a tire pit surrounded by a chain-link fence, with the Phoenix man sitting in the driver’s seat of a nearby car whose lights were illuminating the pit, police reported.

    An interview with the property manager confirmed the two men did not have permission to be there, according to the report, and police determined the two men were there to steal tires belonging to the business.

    The men were booked into Tempe City Jail and held to see a judge, police reported.
