The ASU track and field team will hold open tryouts for the 2010 indoor and outdoor seasons on Sept. 16 and 17 at Sun Angel Stadium.

Student-athletes interested in trying out must fill out a form that can be picked up in the Sun Devil Track and Field office in the Carson Student-Athlete Center and return it to the coaching staff by Sept. 14.

Tests that will take place on Sept. 16 include standing long jump, 30-meter sprint from a stand, 30-meter sprint with a 20-meter fly, javelin (softball throw), shot put (throw shot) and discus (throw discus).

A 45-second run test will take place on Sept. 17.

The ASU track and field team is coming off four national top-10 finishes during the 2009 indoor and outdoor seasons. In June, the women’s team finished third at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, while the men’s team finished eighth.
