U.S. soccer fans should be rejoicing right now since the team is back in first place in its World Cup qualifier group.

After losing both away games to Mexico and Costa Rica, it was uncertain if the U.S. would even make it through the qualifying rounds.

The U.S. is not known for its amazing soccer performances.

The team packed up early in the 2006 World Cup after tying Italy and losing to Ghana and the Czech Republic.

It blows my mind that the U.S. soccer team still isnít at the top. For a sport that is respected and watched religiously worldwide, itís just crazy that the U.S. doesnít rank soccer at the top of its priorities when it comes to sports.

Itís sad that the U.S. is struggling to make it to through qualifying rounds because the team isnít even playing any powerhouse teams such as England or Brazil.

U.S. soccer coach Bob Bradley is going to have his work cut out if he plans to make it though the first round in the 2010 World Cup, and the team is going to have to dig deep and find some more heart.
