Tempe Police reported the following incidents Wednesday:

  • A 21-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Tuesday at approximately 10:37 p.m. on suspicion of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to a police report.

    Officers discovered the marijuana and drug paraphernalia after being called to the residence on the 800 block of South River Drive for a loud music complaint, police reported.

    The suspect admitted to possession of both marijuana and drug paraphernalia and was transported to Tempe City Jail, according to a report.

  • A 44-year-old Mesa woman was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of misusing her power of attorney between July 2 and Aug. 4, according to a police report.

    The woman reportedly misused the power of attorney to remove $29,639.30 in cash from her father’s bank account after she deposited a check worth $52,125.53 belonging to the victim, police reported.

  • A 32-year-old Camp Verde man was arrested Wednesday at 12:10 a.m. on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol with his two teenage stepchildren in the vehicle, according to a police report.

    The suspect was pulled over for allegedly making a civil traffic violation and was transported to Tempe City Jail after the officer observed the suspect’s eyes were bloodshot and watery and detected the odor of alcohol on the man’s breath, police reported.

    A breath test revealed the suspect’s blood alcohol content to be 0.176, according to a report.

    A further history check showed the suspect had two prior DUI convictions within the last seven years, police reported.

  • A 28-year-old Tempe man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of an aggravated assault incident believed to have occurred Aug. 27, police reported.

    The suspect struck another man with a glass beer bottle in the back of the head and across the right side of the victim’s face, causing an inch-long laceration above his right eye, according to a police report.

    The victim was walking on East Hayden Lane talking on a cell phone, police reported.

    The victim advised police the suspect lived on the 1800 block of East Hayden Lane, according to a report.

    Officers located and arrested the suspect, who reportedly admitted to being intoxicated and striking the victim with the bottle, police reported.
