ASU Police reported the following incidents Thursday:

  • A 20-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night on the Tempe campus on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.

    He was transported to the ASU police station for processing and issued a citation, according to a police report.

    He was later transported to the Fourth Avenue Jail on one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of loitering without cause or permission, police reported.

  • Two 20-year-old men were arrested Sept. 10 on the Tempe campus on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.

    Police obtained eight items of paraphernalia from the suspects’ room in McClintock Hall, according to a police report.

    The men were transported to the ASU Police Department and later to the Fourth Avenue Jail on one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.

Tempe Police reported the following incidents Thursday:

  • A 19-year-old Mesa man was arrested early Thursday morning on the 600 block of South Mill Avenue on suspicion of trespassing, police reported.

    The man was contacted while on the rooftop of the Harkins Theatres at the above location, according to a police report.

    During a search, police found a small white pill believed to be Ambien (a sleeping pill), a glass pipe with marijuana residue and a large bag of marijuana in the man’s backpack, police reported.

    The man was transported to Tempe City Jail on one count of trespassing second degree, one count of possession of marijuana, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of possession of prescription drugs, according to a report.

  • Two 20-year-old Tempe men and a 19-year-old Scottsdale woman were arrested early Thursday morning on the 900 block of West Vaughn Street on suspicion of possession of marijuana, police reported.

    Police were responding to a burglary call at the above location after a neighbor saw a suspicious person jump over a fence into the backyard of another residence, according to a police report.

    A sweep of the residence revealed a marijuana pipe and a usable amount of marijuana that one of the men said belonged to him, police reported.

    All three of the suspects were under the influence of alcohol, according to a report.

    The three suspects were transported to Tempe City Jail on one count of being a minor in consumption of alcohol, one count of possession of marijuana and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. One of the men was also charged with being a minor in possession of alcohol, police reported.

  • A 23-year-old Scottsdale man was arrested late Wednesday night at East McKellips Road and North McClintock Drive on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs, police reported.

    The man was reportedly seen committing a civil traffic violation at South Mill Avenue and East Apache Boulevard, but he left in a cab before police could contact him, according to a police report.

    He was later stopped and consented to a search. Police found a usable quantity of methamphetamine in a plastic bag, police reported.

    The man was transported to Tempe City Jail on one count of possession of dangerous drugs and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a report.
