ASU Police reported the following incidents Monday:

  • Two male ASU students were arrested early Saturday morning on suspicion of disorderly conduct and being minors under the influence of alcohol, police reported.

    Two officers witnessed the suspects fighting in the Vista Del Sol complex on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

    One suspect was knocked unconscious during the fight and transported to Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital, police reported.

    Both were charged with one count of disorderly conduct and one count of being underage with alcohol in the body, according to the report.

Tempe Police reported the following incidents Monday:

  • A 35-year-old Mesa man was arrested Friday evening on the 900 block of East Baseline Road on suspicion of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia as well as driving on a suspended license, police reported.

    During a vehicle stop, the man was seen throwing a sunglasses case out of his car.

    The case reportedly contained a methamphetamine pipe, a bag of methamphetamine, four pills identified as OxyContin and several plastic bags, police reported.

    A record check indicated the man had been driving with a suspended license.

    The man admitted also his license was suspended and that his sunglasses case contained meth and OxyContin, according to a police report.

    He was transported to Tempe City Jail and booked on suspicion of one count of possession of dangerous drugs, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of driving on a suspended license, police reported.

  • A 23-year-old female ASU student was arrested early Saturday morning on the 300 block of East Pierce Street on suspicion on aggravated assault, police reported.

    The woman was reportedly arguing with the victim while holding a knife above her head and pointing it at the victim, according to a police report.

    She was arrested and transported to Tempe City Jail, police reported.

  • A 50-year-old transient man was arrested early Saturday morning on the 400 block of South Mill Avenue on suspicion of credit card theft, police reported.

    Between Sept. 13 and 14, the man reportedly made more than $3,000 in purchases at light rail kiosks using a stolen debit card, according to a police report.

    Upon arrest, the man admitted to finding and using the card but stated that he was only having fun with it, police reported.

    At the time of his arrest, the man was found with three 31-day Valley Metro passes, according to the report.

  • A 35-year-old male ASU student was arrested early Sunday morning on the light rail platform at South Mill Avenue and West Third Street on suspicion of aggravated assault, police reported.

    The man was asked to provide identification, per city code, but refused and walked away from a police officer. Before his identity was confirmed, the man turned and pushed the officer, according to a police report.

    He was transported to Tempe City Jail and booked on suspicion of one count of aggravated assault and issued a Tempe City Code citation for not paying transit fare, police reported.
